Graduating seniors earn top awards
Pres. Joan Develin Coley congratulates Stuart Clarke
Three graduating seniors were awarded the College’s top academic honors at McDaniel’s May 23 Commencement ceremony. Stuart Clarke and Jennifer Piechocki, each with a 4.12 GPA, tied for the Argonaut Award, given to the senior with the highest grade-point average. Laura Kurrle received an Edith Farr Ridington Phi Beta Kappa Writing Award for the most well-written paper. » Full Story
Ten Second Lieutenants commissioned
McDaniel graduate 2nd Lt. Daniel Spurrier
Six McDaniel graduating seniors, along with one senior from Mount St. Mary’s University and three from Hood College, were commissioned as Army officers at 8:30 a.m. May 23 prior to commencement. The students are part of the Green Terror Battalion, which includes students from all three campuses. » Full Story
