8 Day Tour of San Francisco and the California Wine Country - May 2010
Spend 3 days strolling the hills of San Francisco - from the Golden Gate Bridge to China Town and Fisherman’s Wharf, there is no end to the sites you will see during your stay in this historic city. From San Francisco we will venture north to the famous Napa Valley and Sonoma County, stopping at numerous vineyards along the way. On Day 6 we will board a train and enjoy lunch as we proceed to more vineyards such as Mumm Napa, famous for their champagne. There will be opportunities to learn about selecting wines to accompany foods and of course lots of wine tastings!
Cost per person/double occupancy is $1,989 not including air travel costs. In order to keep the cost as low as possible, we have been able to work with the agency to allow us flexibility in arranging for flights. For those who have frequent flyer miles they may want to use, or for those who can find flights that work within their budget, they can do so. 8 Day Musical Tour of Ireland – August 2010
Join Host, Walt Michael ’68 and other alumni for a fabulous tour of the West Coast of Ireland. This personalized tour has been designed to give the travelers a true taste of the music and culture of Ireland. This “Non-Tourist” Tour will begin in Killarney, home of the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula, and of course castles and pubs. The next stop is Galway known for the Cliffs of Moher and Connemara. From Galway we head to Donegal, considered the most unspoiled county in Ireland, and finally the last day we’ll be in Doolin, known around the world as the center of Irish music. There will be tours of some attractions of course, but there is also plenty of time to spend on your own so you can truly experience this beautiful country and it’s quaint villages, heritage, and of course, the music (perhaps a pint or two along the way as well…).
