The McDaniel College Alumni Association awards program honors individuals who personify the College’s tradition of excellence. Through outstanding achievements and contributions, these individuals bring honor to themselves and to McDaniel College.
Any individual can place a name in nomination by filling out the Awards Nomination Form and forwarding it to the Alumni Office.
The Association’s Awards Committee meets each spring to review the nominees for the Alumnus/a of the Year, Alumni Community Service Award, Alumni Professional Achievement Award, and Alumni College Service Awards. These awards are presented at a ceremonial brunch on the morning of Homecoming.
The Green Terror Sports Hall of Fame Committee meets each spring to review the nominees for the Green Terror Sports Hall of Fame Awards. These awards are presented at the Sports Hall of Fame Banquet held during Homecoming Weekend.
If an alumnus/a is not selected for an award in the year of nomination, he/she will remain on the list for three subsequent years. When this three-year period has expired, nominations must be resubmitted for consideration. Current employees of the College are not eligible for Award nomination.
