McDaniel College

Academic Hall
Completed in 2005, Academic Hall houses classroom, laboratory, and administrative space for McDaniel's graduate and undergraduate programs and the departments of Education, Deaf Education, Gerontology, Academic Skills, and Psychology.  Specifically designed American Sign Language (ASL) and English labs in the building ensure that the facility fully supports McDaniel's internationally recognized program in Deaf Education, the only program and facility of its type in the Eastern U.S. and one of only two in the country.  The building's key features include:
  • Deaf Education American Sign Language Labs
  • Academic Skills Center & Educational Resource Center
  • Multimedia Classrooms and Seminar Rooms
  • Bio-Psychology Animal Research Laboratory

This building represents a major step in the implementation of a 10-year campus master plan.
