Cashier Window Hours

The Cashier's window is open Monday - Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to cash student's checks and for departmental petty cash requests. Personal checks may be cashed up to a maximum amount of $100.00 and petty cash requests up to $75.00. A check cashing fee of $0.50 will be assessed for every $25.00. The maximum check amount and check cashing fee are waived for McDaniel College and Federal work study checks.

Checks should be made payable to McDaniel College. No third party checks will be accepted. Should a check be returned to the College for any reason, the amount of the check and a $20.00 fee will be charged to the student's tuition account.

STUDENTS MUST HAVE THEIR McDaniel College STUDENT ID'S TO CASH A CHECK - NO EXCEPTIONS

For more extensive banking services, we suggest the campus Automated Teller Machine, which is operated by BB&T. The ATM is located in the middle level lobby of Decker Center and is accessible 24 hours a day.

Direct Deposit

Direct Deposit of campus payroll checks is recommended.

Students who receive Federal Work-Study and/or campus employment paychecks are eligible to have their monthly payroll checks directly deposited into the bank account(s) of their choice. Please call our Payroll Office at 410-857- 2206 for more details or email them at mailto:bkashen@mcdaniel.edu

We hope that students take advantage of this fast and efficient method of payment - also, it's better than having cash lying around the dorm room!
