Green Terror outdoor track took April 1 gold in eight events at the Goucher Invitational in Towson, Md. Claiming wins for McDaniel were Stuart Johnson ’06 (left, 100-meter dash), Scott Koleszar ’07 (200-meter dash), Matt Rouse ’07 (steeplechase), Broderick Maybank ’06 (long jump), Josh Murray ’07 (discus), Kacey Decker ’09 (high jump and triple jump) and Kristy Costa ’06 (discus). The men’s team finished second of eight teams, while the women’s squad placed fourth of seven teams.

McDaniel track heads April 8 to the Messiah Invitational in Gettysburg, Pa.

Green Terror baseball split April 1 competition with Muhlenberg, losing 1-2 in the early game but rallying for an 11-4 victory in the late game. Justin Reitz ’09 went four-for-five in the nightcap, scoring three runs and driving in another. Shawn Yohe ’09 recorded the pitching win with a four-inning, one-run effort. The team stands at 6-11, 1-3 in conference.

McDaniel baseball takes on April 4 Dickinson in Carlisle, Pa.

Green Terror softball split April 1 competition with Ursinus, taking the first game 2-1, but dropping the second game 2-3. Mary Abrams ’07 pitched six scoreless innings and homered in the victory. Jess Smith ’09 drove in Emily Trainor ’08 for the winning run. The squad sits at 10-10, 1-1 in conference.

McDaniel softball hosts April 3 York.

Green Terror women’s lacrosse dropped April 1 a game to Ursinus in overtime, 9-11. Kim Lowry scored a hat trick for McDaniel, while Tara Smith ’06 and Caitlin Schellhorn ’06 added two apiece. The team stands at 3-6, 1-2 in conference.

Women’s lacrosse meets April 5 Dickinson at home.

McDaniel men’s lacrosse lost April 1 to Dickinson 8-12. Matt Buschman ’08 recorded three goals for the Green Terror while Ben Yingling ’07 had 12 saves in goal. The squad holds a 3-4, 0-3 in conference record.

The men's and women's golf teams hosted April 1-2 the McDaniel Spring Invitational in Gettysburg, Pa. Top finishers for the Green Terror men were Gerry Butler '08 and Steve Perrone '06, each shooting a combined 155 to come in a six way tie for twelfth place. Christine Malkiewicz '07 led the women's side with a combined 192 and sixteenth place.

The women's team heads April 22 to the Kutztown Invitational in Kutztown, Pa. The men's squad travels April 9 to Hershey, Pa., for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship.

Neither the men’s or women’s tennis teams could muster April 1 a win against Muhlenberg, the women falling 0-9 and the men losing 0-7. The men’s team stands at 3-5, 0-2 in conference and the women’s team sits at 3-4, 0-3 in conference.

Both tennis squads meet April 5 St. Mary’s in St. Mary’s, Md.
