CommencementMcDaniel College prepares for 136th Commencement
McDaniel College will award more than 650 bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the College’s 136th Commencement at 2 p.m. May 20 on campus in Gill Center.

Speakers include Nora Roberts, author of more than 140 novels, and Jane Bryant Quinn, author of the best-selling books “Making the Most of Your Money” and “Everyone's Money Book.” They will each receive an honorary degree.

Student awards include the Argonaut Award, which is presented yearly to the graduating senior with the highest cumulative grade point average, and the Edith Farr Ridington Phi Beta Kappa Writing Award for the best honors paper.

Earlier in the day, graduating McDaniel seniors who are members of the College’s Army ROTC program will be commissioned as second lieutenants into the U.S. Army. McDaniel has had an Army ROTC program since 1919.
