Saturday Shuttle Service

The Saturday Shuttle is available to all undergraduate students FREE of charge and operates throughout the academic year on Saturdays, except at the following times: Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break and Spring Fling Day. 

The hours of operation are Saturdays from 12 noon to 9 p.m.  The shuttle departs Winslow parking lot, outside the Dept. of Campus Safety at the following times: 12 noon, 1:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.  The 8:00 p.m. departure is for Westminster stops only.

The shuttle operates on a first come, first serve basis and is limited to 10 passengers per trip.  The first 10 passengers in line will be transported.

Transportation is available only to and from the following locations: Main Street in Westminster, Super Fresh, WalMart, Westminster Towne Mall, Cranberry Square/Giant, Target/Weis/Kohl's/BJ's/Home Depot, Owings Mills Mall and Owings Mills Metro Station.

You can use the shuttle to connect to the Baltimore Metro which can take you into Baltimore City.  Be sure to check the departure and arrival times at the Owings Mills Metro as the Saturday Shuttle does not have the same schedule as the metro schedule. Metro schedules are available at the information Desk located in the upper level of Decker College Center.

The shuttle drivers are experienced adult drivers who have met all college employment requirements to drive a 10 passenger van.  They are also familiar with the community surrounding the campus.  Please feel free to use them as a resource if you have any questions about Westminster.

The shuttle does not operate as a taxi service; therefore, you will need to plan your activities according to the approximate times that the shuttle will return to the location where you were dropped.  The driver will inform you of the specific areas in shopping centers, etc. where you can meet the shuttle. In order to maintain a regular schedule, the shuttle may only drop off and pick up passengers at specified locations.

The last pick up time at Owings Mills Mall is at 8:30 p.m. and 8:35 p.m. for the Owings Mills Metro Station.

Carroll Transit System Shopper Shuttle Schedule

This local transit system offers opportunities for students to leave campus during the weekday hours.  It operates Monday-Friday, and picks up passengers at the corner of Union Street & Pennsylvania Avenue near the college.

The shuttle transports to all of the major shopping areas and along Main Street in Westminster.  The cost for round trip fare is $2.00 per passenger.  Informational brochures are available at the Information Desk located on  the upper level of Decker College Center.  For more information contact Carroll Transit at (410) 857-0080..

BWI Airport, BWI Amtrak Shuttle

Shuttle transportation is available a day or two before major breaks to BWI Airport,/BWI Amtrak Station. (Shuttle service is not available during breaks). Reservations should be made two weeks in advance of departures or returns.

The fee per trip per passenger is as follows: $25.00-BWI Airport or BWI Amtrak Station

**RESERVATIONS FOR THESE PICK-UP DATES MUST BE MADE BEFORE DEPARTING CAMPUS FOR BREAK.

Please be advised that if you are planning to utilize the airport/train shuttle service you should do the following:

• Pay close attention to your McDaniel College e-mail account. Information and deadlines regarding reservations are sent to each student via e-mail. You may also find this information published in the bi-weekly McDaniel College newsletter "The Arch." You may pick up a copy at the Information Desk located in the Upper Level of Decker College Center.
• Make your reservation and pay the shuttle fee two weeks prior to the departure or pick-up date.
• Reservations are taken in person in the College Activities Office, (410) 857-2765 or by calling Ext. 2765. You will need your flight information and a contact phone number.
• You will be given some pick-up directions at the time of your reservations. Please hang on to these and contact the College Activities Office if your flight plans change prior to leaving campus. The directions will contain other important information regarding your return flight pick-up location and time.
• All shuttles depart campus from Rouzer Parking lot outside the Dept. of Campus Safety. Make sure you are there on time with your luggage at the specified departure time.
• If you are being picked up by the College shuttle service, you may have to wait at the airport/train station depending on the arrival of your flight/train and the arrival of flights/trains of other passengers arriving within the pick-up time frame.
