Advisers

Each student is assigned an academic adviser who assists in planning a program of study, including selecting courses to satisfy a major, discussing career opportunities, and referring students to appropriate campus resources.

Change of Adviser

Instructors of first-year seminars are assigned as advisers to first-year students, or advisers are chosen from the department in which students intend to major. When students select or change a major, they should seek an adviser in the appropriate department. Students should obtain a Change of Adviser form from the Office of the Registrar, secure signatures from both the new and former adviser, and return it to the Registrar.
