McDaniel College

Advisers
Each student is assigned an academic adviser who assists in planning a program of study. As part of our first year program, advisers are assigned based on a student's choice of a first-year seminar.

A first year academic adviser is available to help students make informed decisions about the courses they select, the major they choose, and the opportunities that they pursue during their first year at McDaniel. This member of the faculty will also help students to understand academic regulations, degree requirements and find the support and other resources that they may need on campus. For a more complete description of this role, see the McDaniel College Advising Statement.
