At McDaniel, we try to make application process as low-stress as possible. There are two possible deadlines: for the fall, April 1; and for the spring, December 15.
-
Visit us. While we don’t require campus visits, we recommend them — you’ll love what you see — and we recommend that you have an interview. As a bonus, the application fee of $50 is waived if you visit prior to applying. Can’t make it to campus? McDaniel may be in your area soon.
-
Complete the application online by using the Common Application. We do not require a supplement and a $50 nonrefundable fee is required (unless you visited campus before filing this application). If you file your application electronically, you must send the $50 fee to the admissions office by mail. We can’t process your application until we receive your payment.
-
Forward your official transcripts from ALL colleges that you have attended to the admissions office. (Note: If you have less than 30 transferable credits, the admissions office will also need your official high school transcript and SAT/ACT scores.)
-
Submit the residential student release form (PDF) if you are transferring from another four-year college and plan to live on campus. We can’t review your application until we receive this release.
-
Learn how your credits will be transferred. If you submit the evaluation of transfer credit request form (PDF), along with a copy of your college transcript(s), to the admissions office, we’ll let you know in advance how your college credits will transfer to McDaniel College.
-
Explore financial assistance. Once we have your completed admission application, we’ll mail you an application for financial aid. In the meantime, you can begin planning: review the costs of attendance and the financial aid process.
