McDaniel College

Cultural Passport Program
Geared towards first-year students, the Cultural Passport program is designed to provide students with incentives to attend multicultural events on campus. During fall orientation, first-year students receive a card that serves as their passport throughout the academic year. As students attend events designated as passport events, their passports are stamped to confirm their attendance and are encouraged to fill out program evaluations. At the end of the year, OMS hosts a reception and awards prizes based on student participation, which is measured by the number of stamps on their passports. Prizes range from extra-credit and gift certificates to electronics and cash prizes. Although the program is currently available to first-year students only, the campus community and visitors are encouraged to attend cultural passport events and other activities that increase multicultural awareness.
