McDaniel Gerontology Programs Meet Continuing Education Requirements for Pennsylvania Social Workers

As an accredited college offering graduate level and continuing education programs, McDaniel College is a pre-approved provider of continuing education courses and programs for social workers and clinical social workers. A Social Worker licensed by the State of Pennsylvania interested in enrolling in any graduate course in Gerontology at McDaniel College can request the PA state licensing board to examine the possibility of the licensee's receiving credit for attendance. Interested Social Workers will need to submit, prior to attendance, an application for program approval and supporting documentation provided in §  47.35, and upon completion of the course or program submits verification of attendance. Requirements for Maryland Social Workers
CSA Social Work Workshops
The Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners certifies that The Center for the Study of Aging at McDaniel is an approved provider of continuing education for social workers and associates licensed in the state.

One academic credit in relevant Gerontology graduate coursework at McDaniel is equal to 15 continuing education credits based on Maryland social work licensing guidelines. Unlike other continuing education offerings, courses from The CSA also can be applied to graduate study, meeting both the professional requirements and academic goals of social work students.
