The education minor at McDaniel College is a nationally and state accredited program that leads to Maryland certification. The faculty and staff in the teacher education program are committed to providing future teachers with the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed to effectively teach all children in our diverse and technological society.

Teachers who receive their preparation at McDaniel College are well prepared in their subject matter through a strong undergraduate academic major. Additionally, early field experiences in McDaniel College professional development schools give students practical application of their coursework and an opportunity to work side by side with highly qualified mentor teachers.
