PERFORMANCE VENUES

Levine Hall- This historic campus building is home to the Music Department and to our recital hall. The new instrumental rehearsal hall opened in 1999. Practice rooms are available daily from 7am to 11pm with extended hours available upon request.

Baker Chapel and Baker Memorial Chapel- These settings are both beautiful visually and alive acoustically. The larger chapel has an Aeolian Skinner organ. The smaller chapel has a lovely recently rebuilt instrument.

McDaniel Lounge- An intimate salon ideal for chamber music and vocal recitals.

Decker College Center Forum- A medium-sized auditorium centrally located in the student center is home to live jazz performances and unique jamming by the eight-piece workshop, the best from each section of the Jazz Ensemble.

WMC Alumni Hall- a 500-seat theatre used for the college band and other concerts.

RESOURCES

Several grand pianos, including a 6' 1" Yamaha, a seven-foot Kuwai, two seven-foot Steinways and a nine-foot Mason and Hamlin, are available for concerts. The music library collection is extensive in scores, recordings, and texts. A coordinated MIDI/piano lab was recently created to support classes and projects. Our practice rooms all have newly purchased Yamaha pianos.
