COMING IN FALL, 2008!
National Players present AS YOU LIKE IT
William Shakespeare's romantic comedy is a tale of young lovers: Orlando, a love-struck man who roams the forest spouting poetry and carving his beloved's name in trees, and Rosalind, who, disguised as a man, mischievously gives Orlando advice on how to succeed at capturing the object of his affections. The two youths create such a romantic atmosphere that almost all those around them fall in love, too. A witty and wise comedy about the sexes, As You Like It highlights the transformative power of love.

TROY WOMEN
is a modern poetic adaptation of Euripides' The Trojan Women. The story of the fallen royalty of Troy is offset and illuminated by the chorus: five distinct women whose voices become increasingly unified as the tragedy mounts. Cassandra's prophecies link her to the present with speech that is frenzied, vulgar, and wild.

SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS
This classic fairytale story is known and loved by all. Containing all the elements for fun, this traditional, British pantomime, promises to be a real Christmas treat. But let’s get one thing clear, there is absolutely no miming in British pantomimes. None. Imagine American musical comedy with vaudeville routines. Short action-packed episodes begin and end breathlessly, with Christmas cheer at every turn. Villains to "boo," heroes to cheer and endless comic antics promise a good time for the whole family! Discover why most towns and cities throughout the UK play host to a production of “panto” around Christmas.
