Summer 2012 is the start of a new Academic Year (New FASFA2012-2013)

Summer 2012     Due Date is May 1, 2012
Fall 2012            Due Date July 1, 2012
Spring 2013        Due Date December 1, 2013

You must take at least 6 credits to get a student loan.

Federal Stafford loans are available for students seeking a Master's degree.  Student must be registered for at least 6 credits per term.

• Step 1) Apply for a PIN number with the US Department of Education. This will become your signature and will be the same number for each year that you apply for Financial Aid.
  PIN Site: http://www.pin.ed.gov/ (Allow for 1 to 5 days for processing)
• Step 2) Using your new PIN number complete the appropriate FAFSA form:

• Step 3) Complete a McDaniel College Institutional Application:
  Summer 2012, Fall 2012 & Spring 2013 Graduate Institutional Form
  (online form) 
• Step 4) Complete an Entrance Loan Counseling (Federal Government requirement) New Borrowers only.
• Step 5) Complete a Direct Loan MPN (New borrowers only)    Subsidized/Unsubsidized   ***Not the Grad PLUS
• Step 6) Complete an Exit Loan Counseling (Federal Government requirement). To be done upon completion of your degree or not taking at least 2 classes per semester.
• Step 7) Deaf Education: Charlotte Newcombe Scholarship for Deaf students.
