The International Programs Office (IPO), located in Hill Hall 105, offers a wide variety of opportunities to help our students expand their horizons and gain the international perspectives they need to succeed in today's global society.

Specifically, the International Programs Office:

• Advises students on study abroad opportunities available at McDaniel and the application process
• Coordinates the McDaniel College Budapest program and Brussels Exchange Program, and the University of Glasgow Honors Program in Scotland
• Assists international students attending McDaniel College on matters related to U.S. immigration, tax regulations, and employment
• Coordinates the Home Away from Home: Host Friends and Families Program for international students
• Supports the International Club and sponsors activities for the college community

Mission Statement

The International Programs Office supports the College’s commitment to international education by promoting academic study abroad, supporting international students who come to study at McDaniel, and enhancing the international dimension of the campus.  The IPO seeks to promote intercultural exchange, prepare our students to be responsible citizens in the global community, and increase cross-cultural understanding through overseas study as an important part of a liberal artseducation. Study abroad enriches students’ academic programs, exposes them to different cultures and international perspectives, and develops foreign language skills.  Study abroad opportunities—offered through McDaniel Europe in Budapest, Hungary; Brussels Exchange Program at Universitaires Saint-Louis in Belgium; Africa University Exchange Program in Mutare, Zimbabwe; and numerous College-affiliated programs —cover a wide range of geographic areas of the world, academic interests, and program types.
