Types of programs: major and minor
Business administration majors acquire a broad liberal education and the necessary skills for successful careers in business, government, and law. Twelve courses are required for the major, including Principles of Accounting, Principles and Problems of Economics, Microeconomic Theory, Macroeconomic Theory, and other studies in statistics, communication, and mathematics. Six courses are required for the minor, Graduates of the program traditionally have been admitted to some of the nation’s most prestigious graduate schools in economics, business administration, and law—at Washington University, Georgetown, Dickinson Law, George Mason, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, University of Maryland, and Thunderbird. Other graduates have directly entered the business world—in banking, insurance, manufacturing, and government service.
A supervised internship program provides students with practical job experience in business and the opportunity to integrate theory and practice in the field.
