Honors Admission
Admission into the Honors Program

Prospective McDaniel College students are admitted into the Honors Program based on a combination of their high school GPA, SAT scores, writing sample, honors classes, AP classes, class rank, and any other areas of significant achievement. Prospective students are notified by mail during the spring semester of their admittance into the Honors Program, and may choose at that time whether or not to accept admission into the Honors Program.

Every year, matriculated first-year students at McDaniel College are reviewed for admittance into the Honors Program. Students are selected based on their college GPA, application, and an interview with the Honors Program Faculty Committee and Student Liaisons. These students have the same requirements to fill as Honors students selected during the Admissions process. Transfer students are invited into the program on an individual basis.
