The psychology club is a student-run organization that serves as a resource for students interested in learning more about a broad range of topics and opportunities in psychology and in meeting fellow students who share their enthusiasm for psychological exploration. Membership is open to students of all class years and majors.
The psychology club holds monthly meetings or events, all of which are structured and organized around the interests and needs of its members. Past events have included:
- Guest speakers on autism
- Guest speakers on forensic science/psychology
- Guest speakers on sports psychology
- A roundtable, open-discussion on workplace conflict and mediation and how it relates to psychology
- Milk and cookie get-togethers
- A "regress to your childhood" study break during exam week
- and much more.
Events on the agenda for the upcoming fall and spring semesters include:
- An acclaimed guest speaker with a background in clinical psychology
- An information session on the undergraduate and graduate opportunities available through Target Community and Educational Services
- A trip to a behavioral modification and animal learning center at the Baltimore Zoo
- A student-faculty dessert night
The psychology club attempts toallow students to explore a range of opportunities and topics within psychology.
