American country music plays everywhere, writes Deborah Johnson-Ross in her blog from Cameroon. The assistant professor of Political Science and International Studies is lecturing at the University of Buea in the African country over the next ten months, while on a Fulbright grant. She is chronicling her experience online.

“I do feel at home in this beautiful country,” Johnson-Ross writes in her web log. In one of her latest entries, she describes the constant drench of the rainy season, and watching TV shows like “Desperate Housewives” and “NYPD Blue” dubbed in French.
