"Flexible hours, off-campus sites and professors who still work in the field make this program eminently applicable to the challenges I face daily in my teaching."

The McDaniel College Curriculum and Instruction program engages teachers and staff developers in designing, implementing, and evaluating curricula. Current theories, research, and technology are applied to the improvement of the learning process at all levels from Pre-K through college. A critical program objective is to assist teachers in making practical applications of recent educational research in their actual classroom practice.

Candidates may select focus areas in *Leadership in Curriculum and Instruction, Adaptations for Special Needs, *Computer Applications in the Instructional Process, *Teaching Strategies for Students with Limited English Proficiency, or in the content areas.

*Some courses could count for Maryland course count certification in these areas.
