Biology—then English—Major, Poet
- I grew up knowing I wanted to be a veterinarian. I rode horses in national competitions and raised prize-winning sheep. My parents have a farm.
-
I changed my major after a lot of soul searching.
- I loved the sciences. I still do. But when I chose my first English courses, I felt like a kid in a candy store.
-
There are so many options out there. I might pursue my Ph.D. in English literature and become a college professor. Or I might become a country music singer.
