Steven joined the Art Department Faculty at McDaniel College in 2004. Steven's current work primarily focuses on abstract painting in oils, acrylics, and mixed media, however until 2003 he was exhibiting nationally as a representational figure and still life painter. His work in those areas won him many awards, including several Best in Show awards. In 2003 his work shifted towards abstraction, and he has since started to generate some attention for his challenging and original abstractions. His work is shown Nationally and is in several Public and Private Collections.

What has Steve been doing lately?
Steven recently was an artist in residences at the Ragdale Foundation in Lake Forest, IL and at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT, and his work was recently exhibited in group exhibitions in Washington, DC, and Baltimore, MD. In February 2007 he has a Solo Exhibition at the Delaplaine Visual Art Center, in Frederick, MD, and in 2008 he has a solo exhibition at the Sub-Basement Artist Studios in Baltimore, MD.
