Life put Kim Prati’s plans to be an art teacher on hold for more than 15 years, but the successful designer and mother of two still found ways to share her talent and enthusiasm with children. Now, she’s pursuing her master’s degree in education at McDaniel to refine those teaching skills. » Full Story
A thousand McDaniel students, faculty, and staff enjoyed the college’s annual Thanksgiving feast Nov. 16. This year’s meal included 420 pounds of turkey, 10 gallons of gravy, 275 pounds of ham, 120 pounds of stuffing, 300 pounds of mashed potatoes and 40 pounds of cranberry sauce. » Full Story
Twenty-eight McDaniel College student athletes have been named to the 2006 Centennial Conference (CC) Fall Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated for the honor roll, a student athlete must be a starter or key reserve, be of sophomore standing or higher, and have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.40. » Full Story

Erin Wilson ’07 and Amanda Eubank ’08 wake up at the crack of dawn to feed horses in the 4-H Therapeutic Riding Program at the Carroll County Agricultural Center. In addition to twice-daily feedings, they check the horses for any changes in behavior, cuts, or scratches. » Full Story

Kristen Bender ’07, of Cumberland Md., was awarded a Provident Way scholarship, which was judged on integrity, caring, excellence, partnership and results-driven attitude. Provident awarded the scholarship to one student at each of the NCAA Division III schools in Maryland. » Full Story
