MSG Flores entered the Army in 1981. He attended Basic and AIT at FT. Sill, OK. He has served in various leadership positions from Team leader to First Sergeant. 

MSG Flores assignments include: Fire Direction Specialist, A Battery 1-21 Field Artillery, Fort. Hood, Texas 1981-1983; Fire Direction Specialist, A Battery 2-28th  Field Artillery, Ansbach, Germany 1984-1986. Section Chief 348th Engineer Company Fort Bragg, NC 1987-1989. Platoon Sergeant HHB 2-1 ADA, Dexhiem, Germany 1990-1992;

First Sergeant PLDC, Fort Lewis, WA 1993-1995; First Sergeant Range Control McGregor range New Mexico1996-1998; First Sergeant E 1-1 ADA Fort Bliss Texas 1999-2001; S-3 HHT 3/6 Heavy Cavalry Camp Humphreys Korea 2001-2002; G-3 Eskan Village, Saudi Arabia 2002-2003; Senior Military Instructor McDaniel College ROTC Battalion 2003- Present.

MSG Flores military education includes the PLDC, BNCOC, ANCOC, Battle Staff and First sergeant Course He is also a graduate of the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute.

MSG Flores is the father of two children Jose (17), Sydney (15).
