InTech offers two week-long institutes during each summer and Jan Term to provide faculty members an opportunity to learn new ways to teach creatively using technology. Faculty admitted into the institutes will receive a $500 to $1,000 stipend and up to $500 to support their instructional technology project.
These institutes are designed to encourage and support:
- faculty who want to develop technology skills in areas beyond their disciplines;
- innovative approaches to teaching using technology; and
- student-centered pedagogies and collaborative approaches to teaching and learning.
Faculty members who are chosen to participate will be asked to:
- spend 1-2 weeks working with Anita Thiernian and Steve Kerby in the Maggie Lab or other lab location; and
- report their experiences to the college community in an informal session during the spring semester (for the summer institute) or fall semester (for the Jan Term institute).
