Why should I use social bookmarking in my classes?
Social bookmarking provides students and instructors a way to find and organize different perspectives on information and resources. Using social bookmarking tools lets you take advantage of the what other users have found on a specific topic and make connections they may not have been able to make on their own.
Soical bookmarking ideas:
- Groups can use social bookmarking for collective projects. Either a group account can be established, with the password passed around to the group or a group can establish a unique tag and tag all group-related links with it.
- Instructors and students can set up categories/tags for each of their classes and save web pages for papers and research projects that can be accessed from anywhere that has an Internet connection.
- Instructors and students can create online reading lists.
