The 150-voice National Christian Choir (NCC) will perform at McDaniel College 4 p.m. March 24 in Baker Memorial Chapel.

Directed by C. Harry Causey of Sykesville, Md., the choir will perform several spirituals from its latest recording “Every Time I Feel the Spirit.” Other numbers in its repertoire include “Singing Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs to God,” “How Beautiful, Bow the Knee,” and “God and God Alone.”
“We are thrilled to bring this program to Westminster,” said Dr. JoAnn Harris-Bowlsbey, choir member whose husband, Stan, retired from the College in 1989 as dean of the Graduate School and professor of Education.
Choir members represent over 100 different churches and have presented concerts throughout the Washington D.C. area including The Kennedy Center, Constitution Hall, The National Cathedral as well as toured throughout the U.S. and in eastern Europe and Israel. In 2006, NCC sang for the opening worship service of the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Dallas, Texas.
Choir recordings also are broadcast weekly on the program “Psalm 95” which air on over 350 Christian radio stations including Baltimore WRBS 95.1 FM; Frederick WCRH 91.7 FM and Hanover (Pa.) WRBS 107.1 FM.
