Teaching English (ESL)

There are two opportunities for teaching English in Belgium.  The first of which is a private language school near Arlon in a rural setting.  It is a full-time job during the summer teaching middle and high school students in a classroom setting.  Secondly, students are able to teaching English in Brussels, teaching various age groups from 3 to 18 years old.  The job usually takes place during July and August.

Supermarket Positions

There are various kinds of supermarket positions available, such as cashiering, pricing, and stocking.  The job is full-time and the positions last for a period of one or two months.

Restaurant Positions

Students can obtain jobs in hotel restaurants.  There are positions available for one, two, or three months.  A good knowledge of French is necessary for restaurant positions.

Marketing Internships

These marketing internships are available for advanced marketing students in a small Brussels company.  Students do not need French experience for a marketing internship, but Word and Excel are required.

Rest Home Jobs

Students can also take care of elderly individuals in a rest home.  Students with a medical or nursing background are preferred.

Banking

There are unpaid banking positions for students looking to major in business.  They can work in the European headquarters of Citibank.  No foreign language is required.
