In Centennial Conference (CC) men’s lacrosse April 7, McDaniel took home a 7-6 win over Swarthmore, thanks to senior Brad Baer’s score two minutes into overtime. The team returns to action at 4 p.m. April 11 at Gettysburg College. In CC women’s lacrosse, the Green Terror beat Swarthmore 9-8. They return to action at 4 p.m. April 12 at home against Gettysburg.
In CC softball April 7, the Green Terror swept Washington College 5-1 and 10-5. The team returns to action April 11 at York College. Game one of the doubleheader begins at 3 p.m.
Ryan Brandenburg ‘09 has been named to the 2007 PrestoSports/Pride of Maryland All-Maryland men’s basketball second team. Brandenburg, a guard who earned an honorable-mention honors on the All-Centennial Conference team, led the team in scoring (14.8 ppg). He hit a program-record 70 3-pointers to pace the squad. He also led the way in field goals (119), free throws made (63), free-throw percentage (.829) and assists (54) while ranking third in steals (27) and grabbing 63 rebounds. The Green Terror finished the season at 11-14 overall (8-10 CC) and came within a game of its first postseason berth since 1995.
McDaniel baseball lost both games in the CC baseball doubleheader April 7 against Ursinus, 4-5 and 6-7. A day earlier, Gettysburg beat McDaniel 8-2. The team returns to action at 3: 30 p.m. April 10 at home against Dickinson.
In CC men’s tennis April 6, Washington beat the Green Terror 9-0. The team returns to action at 3:30 p.m. April 11 at Gettysburg. Washington also scored a 9-0 victory over the Green Terror April 6 in CC women’s tennis. The team returns to action at 3:30 p.m. April 10 at Gettysburg.
