The Forum in McDaniel College’s Decker Center looks, feels and even smells new. From its three built-in screens and wireless Internet capabilities to the hunter green walls accented with wood trim and recessed lighting, the room will serve a variety of functions. It will host lectures and presentations as well as conferences, banquets and wedding receptions for college and community members.

“It’s more inviting, attractive and warm,” says Mitchell Alexander, director of college activities. “The new Forum is more of a showcase for the building.”

Hundreds have already enjoyed the new Forum, whether they attended the lecture by journalist Helen Thomas or the Mr. McDaniel Contest. The renovation began in January.
