In CC softball action April 21, Jess Smith ’09 threw 16 innings in the circle and rapped out a hit in each game to lead McDaniel to a doubleheader sweep of Muhlenberg 4-1 and 1-0. The Green Terror, who is tied for the final playoff spot entering the final week of play, returns to action for a doubleheader starting at 3:30 p.m. April 25 at Gettysburg.
At the Mason-Dixon Invitational April 21 at Gettysburg, women’s outdoor track and field finished fourth of eight (56.33 pts). Kristen Duling ’09 led the women, winning the 400 in a time of 1:02.31. The men’s team finished fifth of nine (71 pts), with the help of Matt Rouse ’07, who won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a Mason-Dixon Invitational-record 9:50.98. McDaniel returns to action April 28 at the Shippensburg Invitational.
CC women’s lacrosse beat Muhlenberg April 21, 17-12. The team will face Ursinus April 25 in the first round of the CC tournament. Game time is to be determined. In CC men’s lacrosse April 21, McDaniel beat Haverford 11-9. The Green Terror returns to action at 4 p.m. April 25 at Franklin & Marshall.
CC men’s tennis closed its season April 21 with a 7-2 win over Ursinus. CC women’s tennis closed its season April 22 with a 0-9 loss to Swarthmore.
Green Terror baseball won a split victory April 21 in CC play against Muhlenberg. In game one, McDaniel beat Muhlenberg 8-6, but lost the second game 6-16. McDaniel returns to action at 3:30 p.m. April 24 at home against Messiah on Tuesday.
