• I don't receive an error message. Nothing happens when I click on the Login button.

An error occurred while the system was processing this login request.
Could not login.  The specified username does not exist in the system.

These messages are letting you know that Blackboard does not recognize the username you have entered.  Verify that you have correctly typed your username.   If you are sure that you are typing the correct username and cannot login please contact the Blackboard System Administrator for assistance.

Could not login.  You have not provided valid authentication credentials.

This error message usually means that you have typed in an incorrect password.  If you are sure that you are using the correct password and still cannot login, contact the Blackboard System Administrator.

An error occurred in the authentication module. 
Error occurred while trying to lookup the current session in the database.
An error occurred in the authentication module: Empty ResultSet for the session query.

This error indicates that the server was unable to set a cookie on your computer, which it uses to keep track of who you are as you navigate through your course.  Blackboard requires the use of cookies, so you will need to change the settings on your computer to allow this. See the Blackboard Browser Configuration Guide for help.

No authentication credentials were provided with the request.

This error indicates that the browser security you are using is set to high.  Try adding Blackboard to your list of "Trusted Sites".  See the Blackboard Browser Configuration Guide for help.

There was a problem with this login request. Contact the system administrator.
Challenge token null.

These error messages are almost always caused by creating a bookmark, shortcut or favorite to the wrong entry page.  You must always log on to Blackboard from the main page (http://blackboard.mcdaniel.edu/) and click on the login button in order for the session cookie (the token) to be created. I don't receive an error message.  Nothing happens when I click on the Login button.

This problem is usually caused by Internet Security Software which has been set to block all cookies or has been accidentally set to block cookies from Blackboard.  You will need to check the setup instructions for your Internet Security Software to resolve this issue.  See the Blackboard Browser Configuration Guide for help.
