There’s nothing quite like fall on the Hill. Green gives way to the reds, yellows and golden hues of autumn – except of course for the green in Green Terror. Enjoy tailgating, reuniting with college friends, and catching up with McDaniel students who left home just a few months earlier.
All the details aren’t yet complete, but here are some important dates to mark on your calendars now.
Families Weekend – a great time to learn about what student life is all about – kicks off on Friday, Sept. 28. Look for a full day of activities on Saturday, Sept. 29, including tailgating on the rim of McDaniel’s famed drive-in stadium as the Green Terror takes on Juniata College. The women have field hockey, soccer and volleyball contests against Swarthmore while the men’s soccer team is planning a win against Washington College.
Homecoming on Oct. 27 will feature the “Fearless and Bold” – the compelling history of the College by alumnus, professor emeritus and college historian Jim Lightner, who will be on hand for a book signing. Enjoy tailgating before and during the game against F&M and take a stroll around campus to check out all that’s new. Find out more about Homecoming 2007, or to preorder the College history book by Jim Lightner go to www.mcdaniel.edu/collegehistory.
McDaniel Theatre presents “Playboy of the Western World” Oct.3-6.
Home football games are Sept. 15 against Catholic U., Sept. 29 against Juniata, Oct. 20 against Ursinus, Oct. 27 against F&M, and Nov. 10 against Hopkins.
