Departmental honors are recognized at graduation and are recorded on the students' permanent records.  To be eligible for departmental honors a student must:

• have a 3.50 GPA in all courses taken in the major
• submit an appropriate paper of suitable academic quality
• receive a recommendation from the EPE faculty

Eligible students should discuss departmental honors with their academic advisor.  Students must submit an application for departmental honors prior to the end of the second week of classes in the semester in which graduation is anticipated.
