In non-conference men’s soccer, McDaniel beat Western Connecticut State 1-0 Sept. 9 and Gwynedd-Mercy 2-1 on Sept. 8. The Green Terror returns to action at 4 p.m. Sept. 12 at home against Juniata.

In non-conference field hockey, McDaniel beat Elizabethtown 2-1 on Sept. 8, thanks to Kristin Mele ’09, who had a hand in both goals, scoring once and assisting on the other. McDaniel returns to action in the Centennial Conference opener at 4:30 p.m. Sept 12 at home against Franklin & Marshall.

McDaniel’s cross country men’s and women’s teams won titles at the Shenandoah Invitational Sept. 7. Green Terror put three runners in the top five to win the 8,000-meter event with 29 points, 26 ahead of second place Goucher. The women won their 6,000-meter race, scoring 37 points and placing four runners in the top 10.
McDaniel returns to action at its own Green Terror Challenge Sept 16.

McDaniel’s women’s golf finished fourth at the Kutztown Invitational Sept. 7. The team returns to action at the Mount Holyoke Invitational on Sept. 22-23.

The Green Terror volleyball team posted a 3-2 victory in its first match of the Washington and Lee Invitational over Southern Virginia. It dropped a 3-0 decision to Virginia-Wise Sept. 7 before falling to both Washington and Lee and Christopher Newport University, 3-0. The team returns to action Sept. 15 at Muhlenberg.

McDaniel lost to Moravian 14-43 in the Centennial Conference (CC) football opener Sept. 8. The team returns to action at 1 p.m. Sept 15 at home against Catholic. In non-conference women’s soccer Sept. 8, Frostburg beat McDaniel 4-0. McDaniel returns to action at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at Elizabethtown.
