Return to the College for
Homecoming Oct. 26-27 for a weekend of catching up with old friends and seeing what’s new on the Hill. Alumni and their families are invited to take part in affinity reunions and open houses for fraternities and sororities, as well as tour the Leroy Merritt Fitness Center and Klitzberg Pavilion.
The annual two-day program features a parade, drive-in tailgating and a Saturday football game against Franklin & Marshall. Other games include volleyball and field hockey vs. Haverford at noon, women’s soccer vs. Haverford at 3 p.m. and men’s soccer vs. Gettysburg at noon.
Alumni Association Award winners and Sports Hall of Fame inductees will be announced during the halftime presentation. This year’s alumna of the year is Pamela Zappardino ’71.
Other alumni to be recognized at homecoming include Nancy McWilliams Griesmyer ’55, M.Ed.’77, Joanne Trabucco Shaheen ’59, and Ralph O. Frith ’84 for College Service; Dale Townsend Jr. ’51, James S. Gray J. ’63, and Carla Castagna O’Neill ’93 for community service; and S. George Walters ’49, Dianne Briggs Martin ’65, and Erin Thompson Strovel ’93 for professional achievement.
Former Green Terror athletes inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame include Julian L. Dyke ’50, Carol Fritz M.Ed. '69, Erin Murphy Foreman ’97, Lawrence M. Garro ’72, Robert B. Johnson, Jr. ’96, Ann Thomas Kangas ’90, Carl H. VonTobel ’97 and John “Jeff” Weyer ’85.
