Biology 1111, 1112 are prerequisites for all 2000- and 3000-level biology courses. (Students must pass both sections of the Math Proficiency Test for all 2000- and 3000-level courses.)

Seven additional courses (28 hrs.) selected from the groups shown below. The selections must be made according to the following guidelines:
1. One four-credit course must be selected from each of the four groups below;
2. The remaining three courses, i.e. those not accounted for in guideline 1, must be selected from at least two of the groups;
3. At least five of the courses must be laboratory courses (* denotes a laboratory course).
All seniors, including all dual majors, will participate in either the research poster presentation or the senior seminar, which will serve as their Capstone Experience. (BIO 4492 or 4493)
