“Fearless and Bold,” a complete history of the College, was unveiled Oct. 27 at Homecoming. Authored by Professor Emeritus Dr. James Lightner ’59, the 728-page tome is a comprehensive reference rich with conflict, tragedy, humor and triumph. With 200-plus photographs, readers can trace the College’s growth from the days of Old Main to the campus in Budapest, Hungary.

Lightner, the College historian, worked for seven years on the book, poring over documents, minutes from trustee and faculty meetings, diaries, memoirs, scrapbooks, student newspapers and yearbooks. He conducted first-person interviews with senior alumni who shared memories of bygone years.

All proceeds from book sales will go toward student scholarships.
