To apply for financial aid to attend McDaniel College, students must do three things:
-Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by mid February. You can apply online at
or by using the paper form available at high school guidance offices, libraries, and college financial aid offices. Be sure to list McDaniel College’s school code of 002109 on the FAFSA. **There is no charge to file the FAFSA. If you are asked to pay at an online site you are at the wrong site.
-Complete a McDANIEL FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION (attached below). March 1st is the deadline for prospective students; April 19th for continuing students.

-Submit signed copies of the students’ and parents’ 2006 federal tax returns, all schedules and W-2’s to the McDaniel Financial Aid Office. Prospective students should submit them as soon as possible, ideally, along with the McDaniel Financial Aid Application. Continuing students must submit copies of tax returns by April 19th.
Awards made without copies of tax returns are estimates only and cannot be finalized until the copies are received. Financial aid awards for prospective students are mailed once the student is accepted, and the Financial Aid Office has received all the financial aid materials. Financial aid awards for continuing students are mailed in mid-June.
