Financial Aid Time Line

January

  • Prospective students are mailed McDaniel College Financial Aid Applications when their applications for admission are received.
  • All students file FAFSA with federal processor. Students can apply online at .
  • McDaniel College Financial Aid Applications are mailed to continuing students.

February

  • Students mail McDaniel College Financial Aid Applications to the College.
  • File FAFSA.

March

  • Deadline for filing the FAFSA is March 1.
  • Deadline for prospective students’ McDaniel College Financial Aid Applications is March 1.
  • Mailing of financial aid offers to prospective students begins.

April

  • Deadline is April 21 for continuing students’ McDaniel College Financial Aid Applications and copies of federal tax returns.
  • Prospective students should submit tax returns as soon as they are available.
  • Exit interviews for graduating seniors.

May

  • Tuition Deposits for new students are due May 1.

June

  • Continuing student financial aid awards are available on Archway.
  • Fall bills are mailed.
  • Student and parent loan applications are submitted.
  • Sign up for TMS Payment Plan.

July

  • Loan applications processed and estimated awards are finalized.

August

  • Fall semester payment due.
  • Fall disbursements of Federal Stafford Loans and Federal PLUS loans arrive.

September

  • Entrance interviews for new student-loan borrowers.
  • Students sign Perkins Loan Promissory Notes.
