With safety a critical issue on campuses nationwide, McDaniel College has instituted an emergency alert system to notify students in the event of imminent danger or a life-threatening campus emergency. » Full Story
Hill Happenings
- Chamber Music on the Hill, in residence at McDaniel College, presents “Music in the Forum” with The Westminster Trio at 3 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Forum in Decker College Center.

- Theatre on the Hill announces auditions for its summer 2008 season shows, “Pump Boys & Dinettes,” “Into the Woods,” “Anansi: Tales of the Trickster Spider,” and “Fabulous Post-Show Revue.”

- McDaniel College Department of Music presents a piano recital by the students of Senior Music Lecturer David Kreider at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in Levine Recital Hall.

- A recital by McDaniel student composers will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 23 in Levine Recital Hall.

- The Department of Art and Art History presents “About a Hundred Things I Forgot: Figure Paintings by Robert Jones” at the Esther Prangley Rice Gallery Feb. 26-March 21. The artists’ reception will be held 7-9 p.m. Feb. 26.

Sandellas opening
Sandellas, a fast, casual eatery, opened Feb. 11 at the Klitzberg Pavilion in McDaniel’s Gill Complex. It serves premium-quality, health conscious food, including wraps, paninis, pizza, quesadillas and salads. Additionally, Sandellas will serve smoothies and organics. » Full Story

Computer Science major Christopher Griffin ’08 will be the first to graduate from the Honors program with a major in Computer Science, and he is hard at work on his project – exploring how to send untraceable messages. » Full Story

Steven Zumbrun ’92, wrote the musical “Bring me Giants” during the dead of night by the overhead light on tour busses as they crisscrossed the country. That musical premieres at the College March 5. » Full Story
