McDaniel College

The Founders Society
   Founders Changing Lives

The Founders Society represents the mainspring of financial support for the College’s educational mission. Society members include donors whose annual gifts total $1,000 or more. Founders Society members contribute approximately 80% of all Annual Fund dollars.

Members of the Founders Society:

  • provide educational funding flexibility through unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund
  • support students through gifts for educational facilities, scholarships and the endowment
  • enable faculty to pursue excellence through gifts for library acquisitions, equipment, and faculty support funds
  • foster creativity through support of new programs and enhanced services

Active membership in the Founders Society brings special privileges in recognition of the significant role that these individuals play in advancements at the College. Founders are listed each year in the College's Honor Roll and receive periodic updates and special invitations to campus lectures and events.

Why become a member of the Founders Society?

"For me, it's a no brainer. When visiting campus and talking to students, it is easy to recognize how happy and excited they are to be at McDaniel. I just want them to have what I had--and more."
