Dr. Rhodes is a Behavioral Neuroendocrinologist with a particular interest in interactions between commonly used therapeutic drugs and the endocrine system and subsequent effects on hormonally-influenced behaviors. Previous projects in Dr. Rhodes’ lab have investigated the effects of anti-epileptic drugs on androgen levels in various brain areas and androgen-mediated behaviors such as anxiety, social, cognitive, and reproductive behaviors. Dr. Rhodes is also interested in how neurological and neuropsychiatric diseases influence, and are influenced by, stress responses.
