McDaniel College

Israel and Prague, 2010
Break away & travel back & forth in time!
Explore the past & celebrate the present!

For the fifth consecutive year, McDaniel College in cooperation with The Interpreters’ Forum, Inc., a nonprofit, nonpartisan and nonsectarian foundation, in residence on campus, are conducting this Jan Term program.

Providing 2 credits to McDaniel students, our exciting itinerary includes 17 days of adventure and learning in Israel.

Explore ancient and contemporary sites sacred to Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Students will enjoy hiking and climbing; engaging in an archeological dig; floating on the lowest point on earth, the Dead (or Salt) Sea; swimming in the Mediterranean and Red Seas; meeting people from a panorama of religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds; and, of course, enjoying Middle Eastern cuisine.

While visiting Prague, students will encounter one of the most spectacular imperial capitals of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.   Becoming familiar with Prague’s Old & New Towns, students will also experience the splendor of her architecture.

This study tour will take place from January 2nd to January 21st, 2010.
