Green Terror men’s basketball outlasted Feb. 4 Swarthmore at home for a 73-71 victory. Josh McKay ’08 (above) racked up 12 points, 12 rebounds, three blocks and two steals in the contest. Devin Keeny ’07 contributed 20 points. The team’s second-straight Centennial win puts them at 8-13, 6-8 in conference.

McDaniel men’s basketball faces Feb. 8 Johns Hopkins at home.

McDaniel women’s basketball defeated Feb. 4 Swarthmore 82-70 at home. Kristy Costa ’06 tallied seven points and five rebounds. The Green Terror had five players with double-digit point totals, including Heather Thompson ’07 with 13. The team sits at 16-5, 10-4 in conference.

Green Terror indoor track left Feb. 3 the Shell Games in Morgantown, W.V., with some impressive marks. Broderick Maybank ’06 placed second in the long jump event with a leap of 23’3”, qualifying him for the Division III National meet. Scott Koleszar ’07 won the 200-meter dash and Jim Goldstein ’09 placed third in the pole vault. Kristin Duling ’09 won the 500-meter run in 1:21.11, a new school record.

McDaniel indoor track competes Feb. 11 at the Susquehanna Open in Selinsgrove, Pa.

Green Terror swimming dropped Feb. 4 a pair to Washington, the men falling 40-48 and the women falling 32-63. Molly Bolek ’07, Brooke Bennett ’06 and Cassie Allen ’06 recorded victories for the women’s squad, while Mark Yankovich ’07, Dan Lebost ’09 and Chris Reed ’08 combined for five wins for the men’s team.

McDaniel swimming heads Feb. 17-19 to the Centennial Conference Championships at Franklin & Marshall.

Green Terror wrestling trampled Feb. 1 Gettysburg 30-16, winning six of the meet’s 10 matches. Scoring victories for McDaniel were Andrew Winfield ’09, Steve Colasuonno ’06, Artie Kahler, Corey Beall ’08, R.J. Newton ’09 and Ferris Bond ’09. The team stands at 11-6, 4-1 in conference.
