I taught German full-time at McDonogh School in Owings Mills, MD for 36 years. I have coordinated exchange programs with two German schools and also took students on trips to southern Germany during spring break. I am passionate about the language and culture of the German-speaking world and enjoy working with students.
 
I am still the carillonneur of McDonogh School's 48-bell carillon and have organized an annual summer recital series since 1979. I especially enjoy classical music, gardening and traveling, and have worked on several mission trips with Habitat for Humanity as well as rehabbing houses in New Orleans damaged by Katrina.
