Suzanne Dyer-Gear, M.A.S., S.P.H.R. Suzy has taught in McDaniel's HRD program since 1999. In addition, she serves as a principal in the limited liability corporation Powell & Dyer-Gear Consulting, specializing in organizational consulting. She also has taught at Carroll Community College and held HR posts at Marada Industries and Saft America, Inc.
Suzy is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resource Certification Institute, affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She earned a Master of Administrative Science degree in Management, with emphasis on Human Resources and Organizational Development from The Johns Hopkins University. She holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee.
Faculty and Practitioners The HRD program at McDaniel College uses the services of experts in their fields to instruct the courses in various specialized areas. Practitioners bring real work place issues into the classroom and blend theory with practice to prepare students for success. In addition to valuable instruction, these instructors also provide useful networking connections for aspiring leaders.
